Panel Fabrication
Control panels built, wired and tested in Elgin
WESA assembles and wires control panels for single machines and full production lines. Bring your drawings, or work with our engineers to develop them.
Built so it can be serviced
We lay out components for access, route wiring so a circuit can be traced end to end and label every conductor and device to match the prints. Your maintenance crew can follow the drawings to any device in the enclosure.
Panels go out to OEM machine builders, plant engineers and contractors in food and beverage, water, packaging and general manufacturing. Customers who standardize on a particular brand of controller, drive or starter can specify it, and we build to that list.
Engineering and fabrication share one building in Elgin, Illinois. A question about a wire number or a component location goes to the people who drew the panel and wired it.
What we build into a panel
The control hardware WESA lays out, wires and tests in house.
- PLC panels
- Programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and I/O laid out and wired for a single machine or a full production line.
- Variable frequency drives
- Variable frequency drive packages sized and wired for pumps, fans, conveyors and other variable-load equipment.
- Motor controls & soft starters
- Motor control centers, starters and soft starters wired and labeled for the motors on the machine or line.
- Operator consoles & HMI
- Operator consoles and human-machine interface panels built for the machine, so operators can see status and run the equipment from the same station.
- Motion control
- Servo drives and motion hardware wired for positioning, indexing and coordinated axis movement.
- Pneumatic cabinets
- Pneumatic control cabinets assembled and plumbed alongside the electrical work in the same shop.
Tested before it ships
Every panel gets a point-to-point check against the drawings, then a power-up and functional test before it leaves the shop. Wiring diagrams and a bill of materials ship with it.
When the panel is part of a larger project, WESA can carry it through installation and commissioning. The same people who wired the panel can be on site for the startup.
Send drawings or a component list
WESA will come back with a scope for the panel, the wiring and a lead time. Partial drawings are fine; our engineers can fill in the rest.
